Time to Lose Weight

So It's official. I'm really fat.

I've gained 25 lbs since my wedding. I had lost some after he left, but I've gained it all back again.

I must make myself work out.
and eat a bit less.
and no more donuts.
and no more milkshakes or other stuff from Sonic. (ok it's not like I drink a milkshake a day but I should really not be having any, ever.)

How to do this?

I have a Wii fit and Wii active stuff.
I used to have a heavy bag in my garage but don't have that anymore, since STBX took it. (it was his)
But I still have the gloves and wraps.
I could just go and buy a new one.... hmm... I have the place to hang it and everything.
I dunno. I didn't relly use it when I had one. I will have to think about this.

I have a giant neighborhood that I could walk around in... :/

I think I am going to try to figure out how to install my Wii Fit/Active.
but I don't wanna do it by myself.
:(

  1. I found a couple of good sites describing the wii fit active. Meanwhile, 25 lbs is very very fixable. Sometime I'll describe my own victory over 65 lbs. (Not trying to "top" - just sayin' I think you'll be fine.)

  2. jim - i actually do have 65 lbs to lose. that's how much i've gained in last 4.5 years. but 25 is just what i've gained in last 8 months.

  4. FooFoo - "A problem is an opportunity by another name." These are words that I live by. Consider your most recent entries: "Time To Lose Weight" and "I'm Lonely."

I had these problems too. I was lonely too. (Was and sometimes am, more than I care to admit.) But for me, the second problem solved the first. "Being lonely" is an opportunity for me to do something that burns calories.

If I'm you, then every hour I'm lonely is a problem - and also an opportunity to bike. I can do "emotional turmoil" just as well whether I'm working up a sweat or sitting still. I hope this helps.

  5. Jim,

    It does,
I have gotten a wii active. I hooked it up finally last night and did my first workout! I am sore today!

I have been using a lot of my down time to do house projects. Today I built stairs off my deck on the opposite side from where my existing stairs were (24' away) ... I feel like I made a really great accomplishment, and I learned a lot, and it was fun and hard work and took perseverance in 90 degree weather. I am proud of myself. :)

So far, since he left, I have (with the help of my step dad):
    Pressure washed deck
    Bleached deck
Stained deck and all of the railings, and existing stairs
    Bought and built new stairs
    Fixed leak in roof
Put together outdoor dining table and 6 chairs
    Put together 10x12 gazebo
Bought and have together/on deck new grill
    re-arranged deck stuff
Unpacked and threw awy trash for 10x8 shed.
    Done cat litter several times
    hehehehe
Oh and instlled new games and done wii active! and tried a few other new 360 and wii games.
Oh and planted a bunch of new plants, madea new garden area around my mailbox, and planted other plants in fancy pots on my porch...
    and sprayed round up. lol
